Cores

Seattle Children's Hospital Research Institute supports a number of core laboratories/services. These cores provide our scientists access to state-of-the-art instrumentation and technical services.

Cores are administered through a centralized department responsible for ensuring that services are affordable, convenient and efficient.

  • Biostatistical Services Core
    Supports researchers and clinicians in developing clinical research plans, pursuing funding, conducting research and analyzing data.
  • Flow Cytometry Core
    Provides diverse flow-cytometric applications for characterization and purification of cells from mixed-cell suspensions, as well as consulting services.
  • Intellectual Property Core
    Administers intellectual property affairs and facilitates technology licensing.
  • Research Specimen Processing Laboratory
    Provides specimen processing, packaging, storing and shipping services for clinical researchers.
