Driving Directions

From points north (& east via 520)

  • Take I-5 South to exit 166 (Stewart St towards Denny Way)
  • Turn slight right onto Stewart St.
  • Seattle Children’s Research Institute is on the NE corner of 9th and Stewart

From points south (& east via I-90)

  • Take I-5 North to exit 166 (Olive Way)
  • Turn slight right onto Olive Way
  • Turn left onto E Denny Way
  • Turn left onto Stewart St
  • Seattle Children’s Research Institute is on the NE corner of 9th and Stewart

From Children’s Hospital

  • Start by going south on Sand Point Way NE toward University Village
  • Sand Point Way will become NE 45th street as you pass the University Village mall
  • Continue straight onto Montlake Blvd. NE
  • Merge right onto WA-520 west toward I-5
  • Merge onto I-5 south via the exit on the left toward Portland
  • Take the Stewart St exit on the right, Exit 166, toward Denny Way
  • Turn slight right onto Stewart St.
  • Seattle Children’s Research Institute is on the NE corner of 9th and Stewart

Daily parking lots

The Building 1 Parking Garage (6'9" clearance) is located on Stewart St. between 9th St. and Terry Ave. When coming south on Stewart Street (which is one-way), turn right into the first alley entrance past Terry Ave. Then, turn left into the Parking Garage entrance (look for a "Diamond Parking" sign). Pick-up a parking ticket, park, and take the elevator to the 11th floor reception desk. Please note the garage is public, and is therefore available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Monday-Friday: 7am to 7pm
Weekends: Closed

Validated parking

Validated parking is available for certain visitors - including collaborators from outside Children’s and Children’s employees for whom shuttle service is not available - per the institute's Parking Validation policy (PDF 116KB). Vendors do not receive validated parking. Bring parking tickets to the 11th floor receptionist, who will validate parking per this policy.
